Financial Aid

by Webmaster — last modified August 11, 2010 07:26 PM

Attention Students awaiting Financial Aid:  Due to another record enrollment, there has been a delay in notifying some students of their Financial Aid awards.  Please report to your scheduled classes, including Internet classes, until you receive further notice.  Classes begin Monday, August 16.

Faulkner State offers a variety of financial aid including scholarships, grants and loans.  Refer to pages 23 - 28 of the 2009-2010 College Catalog  or CLICK HERE to see a full list of financial aid opportunities.

FAFSA

Faulkner State's school code is 001060

If you are interested in applying for financial aid, you need to complete the FAFSA application first.

  • If you have never applied for financial aid, you must request a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov in order to be able to sign the FAFSA application electronically.
  • If you are a dependent student, your parent must also apply for a PIN.
  • Once you have processed your FAFSA application, it generally takes 3 to 5 business days for Faulkner State to receive it electronically.  You will be mailed a tracking letter letting you know what other documents are needed to complete the financial aid process.

All financial aid needs to be awarded prior to registration; otherwise, you may be required to pay tuition and fees out of pocket.  If you do have to pay out of pocket, you will be reimbursed later up to the limit of your award.

Student Loans

All student loan recipients MUST be registered for at least six (6) credit hours within their degree plan in order to receive the student loan benefit.
